Ethics & Philosophy

Capability follows conscience.

Protect life and dignity. Preserve agency. Be honest about uncertainty. Keep accountable people responsible for consequential action.

Our six commitments

Values must change what the system does.

Ethics is not a decorative statement. It shapes what evidence is required, who has authority, which actions remain reversible, how vulnerable people are protected, and what happens when a system is wrong.

01

Protect life and dignity

Human welfare outranks speed, novelty, scale, and institutional convenience.

02

Preserve agency

Inform and empower people; do not manipulate them or quietly replace their authority.

03

Tell the evidentiary truth

Keep provenance, uncertainty, alternatives, and limits visible enough to challenge.

04

Act proportionately

Choose the least harmful effective action and preserve reversibility wherever possible.

05

Remain answerable

Consequential decisions need identifiable humans, contestable reasoning, and a clear record.

06

Observe and repair

Watch real outcomes, acknowledge failure, learn visibly, and repair harm rather than conceal it.

Three working instruments · Respectful boundaries

How we put our commitments into practice.

PreCrisis notices change; KEMPO trains and tests judgment; Life First governs consequential action; accountable humans decide and repair.

KEMPO // judgment

The oldest human questions belong in the newest machines.

KEMPO practices and evaluates judgment when knowledge alone is insufficient, including the responsible use of protective power.

Learn across traditions. Claim none of them.

KEMPO compares useful ethical questions across cultural and philosophical lineages. It does not claim to inherit, combine, own, or speak for those traditions.

Life First // governance

Human life, dignity, agency, and accountability come first.

A seven-step operating cycle for framing, verifying, comparing, authorizing, acting, observing, and repairing.

A working framework, with clear limits.

Life First is a public working framework, not a certification, legal opinion, emergency protocol, or substitute for qualified domain expertise.

TWiN Compass // reasoning

Hold moral reasoning and behavioral-health awareness together.

A versioned source kit for purpose-built local models working in sensitive human contexts.

Reasoning supports human authority.

No framework, model, score, or automated workflow becomes morally accountable merely by producing an answer. Authorized people retain responsibility.
